In an audio message on Monday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the people of the country on the occasion of the Great Victory Day and called for the observance of the day by following proper health guidelines due to fears of furthermore coronavirus infections.
Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar informed, a 45-second audio message is being sent to about 160 million mobile users in the country on the occasion of Victory Day on December 16.
In her congratulatory message, the Prime Minister said, “Assalamu Alaikum, I am Sheikh Hasina. Congratulations on the occasion of Victory Day. She said, “We have achieved independence through a long struggle of 24 years under the leadership of our great leader, the greatest Bengali of all time, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.”
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina further said that corona virus has disrupted most of our lives; But still I greet you.
The Prime Minister said, “I request all of you to celebrate Victory Day by following the health guidelines. Let us pay tribute to the sacrifices of millions of martyrs by turning this country into a developed, hunger and poverty free and secular Bangladesh,” She added.
At the end of the message, the Prime wished everyone by saying, stay well, and stay healthy.
The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications said that they have already started sending congratulatory messages of the Prime Minister on the occasion of Victory Day and it will continue till December 16. He said mobile operators do not have the capability to send audio messages together, so it is being sent in phases.
