Ignoring the cold on the first day of Poush, patriotic people have been rushing towards Shadid Minar since morning. And in a short time, the Chauhatta area of the city became crowded. As the day progresses, the crowd grows.
Leaders and activists of various political, social and cultural organizations have been standing in long lines since morning to pay their respects to the martyrs with flowers. At this time, the central Shaheed Minar of Sylhet, Chauhatta, became crowded with thousands of people. The new generation holding national flag in their hand. Members of various organizations have offered flowers at the Shaheed Bedi wrapped in red and green cloth.
The Shaheed Minar Implementation Committee first paid homage to the central Shaheed Minar in Sylhet with flowers. Then in stages Muktijoddha Sangsad Sylhet District and Metropolitan Unit, Sylhet City Corporation, Divisional Commissioner, Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Sylhet Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Sadar Upazila Chairman, Sylhet Education Board Chairman, Armed Battalion Police, Ansar VDP, Sylhet District Various political, social and cultural organizations including Press Club, District and Metropolitan Awami League, District and Metropolitan Chhatra Dal, District and Metropolitan Jasad,Women’s Awami League, District and Metropolitan Chhatra League, and Combined Cultural Alliance pay their homage to the martyrs respectively .
This tribute to the martyrs started at the central Shaheed Minar in Sylhet from 6:31 am today.
