A young man from Habiganj has committed suicide in the court premises for not finding his wife and child even after filing a case.
Losing the case, he stabbed himself in the chest on Monday afternoon. Later, he died on the way to the hospital.
The person who committed suicide named Hafizur Rahman(30.) He is the son of Nur Miah, a resident of Kamrapur village in the city.
Police and the suffragists said Hafizur married Bushra Begum(25), daughter of Abdul Khaleq of Khagaura village in Baniachang upazila a few years ago. They also have a daughter. By times, they were in family unhappiness. Bushra went to his father’s house at a time.
Hafizur later went to the court to get his wife and child.
Monday was the day of the verdict in the Baniachang Second Court. Bushra came to the court that day and said that she would not go to her husband’s house again. So, the court ordered Bushra to be handed over to his father.
Out of anger and rage, Hafizur left the courtroom and stabbed himself in the chest. At this, he was seriously injured; people rescued him in a severe condition and sent him to Sadar Hospital.
Later he died on the way to Sylhet for better treatment.
Sadar Police Station OC (Investigation) Daus Mohammad confirmed that, the body was recovered and an inquest was reported. The body has now been sent to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
